Instant Pot Shredded Chicken

Learn how to make simple instant pot shredded chicken with either fresh or frozen chicken breast. This recipe is so quick and makes it easy to whip up a batch of shredded chicken whenever you need it!

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 can chicken broth
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • Place chicken, chicken broth, salt, and pepper into the bowl of the instant pot electric pressure cooker. 
  • Close lid and set to sealing. 
  • For frozen chicken: cook on high pressure for 30 minutes. 
  • For fresh chicken: cook on high pressure for 20 minutes. 
  • Natural pressure release.
  • Shred and use in any recipe calling for cooked chicken.
