- 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup basil pesto
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Grease a large casserole dish and set aside.
Butterfly your two chicken breasts to make 4 thinner pieces of chicken.
Spread 1/4 cup basil pesto on the bottom of your baking dish.
Add the chicken breast into the baking dish in a single layer.
Spread the remaining 3/4 cup basil pesto on top of the 4 pieces of chicken.
Top the pesto slathered chicken with the shredded mozzarella cheese.
Bake uncovered for 25 minutes.
