Ingredients

  • 12 hard boiled eggs
  • 1 large carrot
  • 3 green onions
  • 1/4 cup black peppercorns
  • 1 bunch rosemary
  • 6 2.75-inch wooden skewers

Instructions

  • Gently slice the very top and bottom of 1 hard boiled egg so it's flat on both ends (this will be your body).
  • Gently slice just the bottom off another egg so it's flat (this will be your head).
  • Peel your carrot and create a hat with one large round (aproximately 1/4 inch thick) and one smaller round.
  • Cut a small nose out of the end of the carrot.
  • Arrange the carrot hat and poke a hole through the center of both pieces of carrot.
  • Stack up the two eggs and poke the other end of the skewer through the two eggs, so it is holding the snowman up with the hat on his head.
  • Take one piece of green onion and lay the snowman on top of the green onion so it is just between the two eggs. Tie the green onion around the snowman like a scarf.
  • Create a small slit in the center of the face and insert the carrot nose.
  • Press the peppercorns in for the eyes, mouth, and buttons. You will need to push them in or they will fall out.
  • Add two small sprigs of rosemarry for the arms.
  • Repeat and make 5 more snowman snacks.

Notes

Be gentle with the hard boiled eggs as they can be broken if pushed on too hard. We reccomend keeping a couple of extra eggs on hand if making these with children.
