Easy Scalloped Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 4 russet potatoes thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • Arrange the thinly sliced potatoes in a casserole dish.
  • In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Mix in the flour, salt, and pepper, and stir constantly for one minute.
  • Slowly stir in milk and cream. Cook until the mixture has thickened. 
  • Stir in cheese and continue stirring until melted.
  • Pour cheese sauce over the potatoes, and cover the dish with aluminum foil.
  • Bake for 1 hour.
  • Remove foil and bake for another 15-30 minutes.
  • Serve and enjoy!
