Ingredients

  • 1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coarse sea salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease a cookie sheet and set aside.
  • In a large bowl, combine butter, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar.
  • Cream together butter and sugar using an electric mixer, until light and creamy.
  • Add in vanilla and one egg and mix until combined.
  • Add in second egg and mix.
  • Pour in caramel sauce and mix until combined.
  • Add flour, baking soda, and salt to bowl. Give it a few stirs before mixing with the electric mixer so it doesn't shoot flour everywhere.
  • Mix on low until combined.
  • Fold in white chocolate chips.
  • Scoop heaping tablespons of cookie dough onto cookie sheet, about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10 minutes, until the edges are golden brown.
  • Remove cookie sheet from oven and let cookies cool on the cookie sheet for 5 minutes.
  • Sprinkle a bit of sea salt on top of each cookie while still warm.
  • Remove cookies from cookie sheet and transfer cookies to a cooling rack.
  • Repeat with remaining cookie dough, until you run out.
