Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon allspice

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, mix together all of the ingredients until well combined.
  • Rub the mixture generously over your ribs, making sure to cover all surfaces.
  • Cover the ribs with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to overnight.
  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Grill the ribs for 5-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
  • Serve hot with your favorite BBQ sauce and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a sweeter rub, increase the amount of brown sugar.
  • For a spicier rub, add more cayenne pepper or even some hot sauce.
  • Experiment with different herbs and spices, such as thyme, rosemary, or mustard powder.
  • Adjust the salt to your taste preferences – some people prefer less salt in their rubs.
