9 Reasons why the Instant Pot electric pressure cooker is perfect for busy moms.

It’s no secret that I love my Instant Pot. It’s a handy helper in the kitchen that saves time and effort – giving busy moms more time to spend with their families, on themselves, or doing anything besides standing in front of a hot stove. For those of you on the fence, I thought I would put together a list of reasons why the Instant Pot is perfect for busy moms:

9 Reasons why the Instant Pot electric pressure cooker is perfect for busy moms.

New to the instant pot? Check out our instant pot guide here.

Less planning

The Instant Pot makes it possible to whip something up last-minute since it cooks food (even frozen meat) quickly with little hands-on time. It’s very simple to convert a slow cooker recipe to an instant pot recipe, so you could easily pull a slow cooker freezer meal out and toss it in the instant pot when you’re short on time.

Easier cleanup

Most recipes are one pot, thanks to the saute feature. I love, love, love this feature! You can brown your meat in the same pot and then set it to cook under pressure. Less clean up is a total win for busy moms.

Spend less time cooking

Once you have all of your ingredients in the instant pot, you can walk away. You don’t have to babysit it or stir it. Just set it and come back when it’s time to eat. One of the first recipes I ever made were these apple BBQ ribs and we actually started it, went to buy a Christmas tree, and came home to an amazing meal ready and waiting for us.

Make More Things from Scratch

There are so many things that you can make from scratch in your Instant Pot, including homemade bone broth, cheesecake, and yogurt!

Amazing Soups

Soups in the Instant Pot taste like they have been simmering on the stove all day, but they’re ready in under an hour. (This vegetable beef soup is our most popular soup recipe with this loaded baked potato soup a close second). You can also whip up a big batch of chicken stock in under an hour. It will bring your cooking right up to rock star status.

Tender meat

Just like stove top pressure cookers, the instant pot cooks large cuts of meat in little time and makes them tender and fall off the bone. Start with this chicken recipe or this rib recipe.

Totally Safe

One of the biggest selling points of the instant pot electric pressure cooker is it’s self-regulating. You actually can set it and walk away. You don’t have to babysit it or be concerned about it blowing a whole in the ceiling like stove top pressure cookers. Much like a slow cooker, you can set it and forget it.

Won’t heat up the kitchen

As much as I love cooking and trying new recipes, it’s hard for me to cook in the summer months. The heat just makes me grumpy and takes the joy right out of creating a delicious meal. The Instant Pot won’t heat up your kitchen and you wont be stuck standing in front of a hot stove all afternoon.

Happy Mom = Happy Household.

Save yourself some time and effort and take that time back in the form of self-care. We all have the same 24 hours in the day and the instant pot will help you take some of that time back.
