Easy and tasty French toast cooked in the air fryer
Breakfast is just so good – at any time of day! I love making French toast because it’s easy, can use up leftover ingredients, and it freezes well!
Of course, when I was writing my air fryer cookbook, I knew I wanted to include a recipe for French toast in the breakfast section. It did make it into my cookbook, but I felt it was too good not to share here, too!
How to make the very best French toast
The bread: you can use any kind of bread for French toast, but Broiche is my absolute favorite. Trader Joe’s sells an excellent sliced brioche that we use often. However, regular old sliced wheat bread works, too!
The milk: when mixing up your liquid for the French toast, one of the main ingredients is milk. However, the type doesn’t matter much. You can use cow milk, almond milk, or soy milk. Just add some. If you want to make the custard extra rich, then use half and half.
The spices: don’t skip seasoning your French toast! We use salt (of course) along with cinnamon and vanilla extract. Yum!
