What is the pumpkin patch express?

The pumpkin patch express is a one hour train ride leaving out of River Fox Train’s West Sacramento Train Station. It takes your family on a scenic train ride that includes trick or treating on board. There are board games to borrow and play along with refreshments for sale.

My kids were so excited to ride on a “real” train! There were both indoor and open air train cars, which was really fun. Each train car had a designated trick or treat spot, along with a few extra activities like coloring and a scavenger hunt.

The Fall Festival

After you take your train ride, make your way over to River Fox Train’s fall festival. They start with a costume contest with small trinket prizes for all who participate.

The fall festival has a bounce houses, outdoor games, and a real pumpkin patch. Every train ticket includes a free pumpkin to take home.

They also have food for sale – which was excellent. I had the pulled pork sandwich and the apple freeze float. Both were delicious!
