I love a good trail mix, especially when it’s homemade. Trail mix is so versatile when made from scratch. You can really throw together whatever nuts/almonds, seeds, and dried fruit you have on hand to make trail mix.

Spicy Trail Mix

This trail mix recipe I’m sharing with you today is special because we are making its with Sriracha HOT chili almonds. They are premium California  almonds roasted in peanut oil and then flavored with the one and only Huy Fong Sriracha seasoning. Yum, yum, yum!

We compliment the spicy almonds with a combination of pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, banana chips, dried cranberries, and bits of dark chocolate. It’s the perfect sweet and savory combination that makes a perfect snack during a hike or just running around with your kiddos.

How to make homemade trail mix?

I prefer using roasted and salted nuts and seeds in my trail mix. It saves time and adds a great flavor!

  1. Start by choosing a combination of nuts, seeds, dried fruit and/or chocolate.
  2. Mix everything together in a mixing bowl.
  3. Enjoy immediately or save for later.

How to store trail mix?

Trail mix can be kept fresh for up to 1 week. Simple store any uneaten portion in an air-tight container and room temperature.

The original Huy Fong Foods Sriracha Almonds

These almonds are so good – they taste just like the classic sriracha sauce we love, but in a crunchy almond! We love them in trail mix and also love them as a snack on their own. These are the only almonds that use the official, full-flavored taste of the authentic Huy Fong Brand Sauce. You can find them at Sam’s Club.
