What is in American Flag Toast?

This recipe is made with:

  • toast
  • whipped cream cheese
  • strawberry jam
  • blueberries
  • bananas

I love that 4th of July Toast is a healthy breakfast made with whole grains (if using whole grain toast) fresh fruit, and some protein, thanks to the cream cheese. The flavors of cream cheese, strawberry jam, and fresh fruit make it a very tasty breakfast.

How to make Independence Day Breakfast Toast?

  1. Start by toasting your bread.
  2. Spread it with a thin layer of whipped cream cheese. A white plate with two pieces of toast with cream cheese spread on them.
  3. Top the cream cheese with a layer of strawberry jam. A white plate with two slices of toast topped with cream cheese and strawberry jam.
  4. Arrange the bananas on the toast to make the blue stripes.

  6. Serve and enjoy!

Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • 2 slices bread toasted
  • 1/4 cup whipped cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jam
  • 1 large banana sliced and halved
  • 1/2 cup blueberries

Instructions
 

  • Spread cream cheese on each piece of toast.
  • Spread jam on top of the cream cheese.
  • Make white flag stripes with sliced bananas.
  • Arrange the bluerries into the blue star portion of the flag.
  • Serve and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, toast should be eaten immediately.
