This pizza sauce recipe has just the right mix of sweetness and spice. If you like your sauce on the spicier side, you can add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the mix as well.

- 1 14 ounce can diced tomatoes
- 1 6- ounce can tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Dash of crushed red pepper
- Place all ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth.
- Use as a base on your favorite pizza dough.
- Refrigerate any leftovers and use within one week.
