Enjoy the flavors of apple pie with this healthy breakfast recipe for apple pie overnight oats!
If you haven’t tried making overnight oats yet, you will be surprised by how incredibly easy it is to make! Just mix together rolled oats with milk and seasonings and wake up to a yummy breakfast.
I love overnight oats because they are incredibly filling and also a healthy option. This recipe was created to taste like apple pie. Of course, it isn’t apple pie, but it certainly has the apple and cinnamon flavor! I added a bit of brown sugar, but you can use whatever sweetener you like. You can also taste test it and add a bit more brown sugar, if desired.
What does soaking oats overnight do?
Soaking oats overnight is an alternate to cooking them. Soaking oats in milk for a long period of time softens the oats and breaks down the starches.
Can I eat overnight oats after 2 hours?
Yes. The minimum overnight oats need to soak is for 2 hours. Technically, you do not have to soak them for a full 8 hours.
