I love overnight oats because they are incredibly filling and also a healthy option. This recipe was created to taste like apple pie. Of course, it isn’t apple pie, but it certainly has the apple and cinnamon flavor! I added a bit of brown sugar, but you can use whatever sweetener you like. You can also taste test it and add a bit more brown sugar, if desired.

What does soaking oats overnight do?

Soaking oats overnight is an alternate to cooking them. Soaking oats in milk for a long period of time softens the oats and breaks down the starches.

Can I eat overnight oats after 2 hours?

Yes. The minimum overnight oats need to soak is for 2 hours. Technically, you do not have to soak them for a full 8 hours.
