Easy Crock Pot Cinnamon Roll Casserole

I have one last breakfast casserole recipe to share with you this year. And this is a good one. Think cinnamon rolls in casserole form. It’s easy to throw together in your crockpot and makes a perfect treat for breakfast, brunch, or dessert! This is also a great Christmas morning casserole.

How to make Crock Pot Cinnamon Roll Casserole?

Ingredients for crock pot cinnamon roll casserole.
  1. Mix together melted butter and heavy whipping cream in a bowl. 
  2. Add in two eggs. A glass bowl with cream, melted butter, and heavy cream.
  3. Mix in vanilla and cinnamon. A teaspoon filled with vanilla being held over a mixing bowl.
  4. Open 2 cans of cinnamon rolls and cut each one into quarters.
  5. Place the cinnamon roll pieces in the bottom of your crock pot. Cut up cinnamon rolls in crockpot.
  6. Pour the egg mixture on top. Casserole ingredients in side crockpot.
  7. Close the lid and cook on low for 3 hours.
  8. Remove the lid and drizzle with the frosting.Fully cooked crock pot cinnamon roll casserole still inside of slow cooker.
  9. Enjoy!

Can I make it the night before?

Yes you can! You can cook it all the way through the night before and then refrigerate. You can also prepare the casserole and not cook so it is ready to be placed In your crockpot in the morning. 

Do I need to refrigerate slow cooker cinnamon roll casserole?

Yes. It is best to store unease cinnamon roll casserole in an air tight container in the refrigerator. It will stay fresh up to 3 days.

Is it freezer friendly?

Ingredients

  • 2 12-ounce cans Cinnamon rolls
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine melted butter and cream in a medium mixing bowl.
  2. Whisk in the eggs.
  3. Add the vanilla and cinnamon and mix well.
  4. Open the packages of cinnamon rolls. Cut each piece into quarters and set the icing aside.
  5. Arrange the cinnamon roll pieces in the bottom of your crockpot.
  6. Pour the egg mixture on top.
  7. Close the lid and cook on low for 3 hours.
  8. Remove the lid and drizzle the icing on top.
  9. Serve.
